Metal, wood, electric motor, mechanical parts, white cord, lead.

The four gears of this sculpture all have a different number of teeth, causing a change in their position relative to each other after each rotation. The white cord that hangs from the gears exposes this compositional change.

It forms a constantly changing quadrangle for which the amount of cord varies. There is a small axle with pulley on the edge of each gear transporting the cord. Beneath the sculpture it is kept taut by two lead balls that move up and down according to the changes in the figure. The constant moving artwork will display different forms of the quadratical figure for a period of 26.6 days. Only then the gears will be in the initial composition and the cycle starts all over.
